Supplier Quality Engineer

This highly visible role will involve close collaboration with Suppliers, Manufacturing and Product Development teams to produce new garage door openers and accessories.BS degree in Engineering 5+ years demonstrated technical experience in manufacturing or supplier quality Experience with PPAP creation, tracking and approval to AIAG requirementsWorking knowledge of analytical problem-solving techniques; ability to facilitate/coach others through problem solving activities preferredWorking knowledge of statistical analysis software tools, Minitab preferredDemonstrated experience auditing – suppliers or internal audits to ISO9001 or related standardsSelf-directed individual who performs tasks with a positive, team-oriented approachStrong project management skills – both individually and leading group projectsStrong written and verbal communication skills with all levels within the organization and with external suppliersStandard computer skills of word processing and spreadsheet utilizationAbility to travel ~10%Works with suppliers regarding corrective actions for issues identified with purchased components and finished goodsManages PPAP activities supporting new product launches, cost reduction initiatives, product enhancements, etc. Performs supplier audits to ISO9001 and supplier requirementsControl the quality of incoming purchased materials by providing details of nonconformance to manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
