We're partnering with a well-established organization in the vibrant Broad Ripple area of Indianapolis to find an Accounts Payable Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping financial operations running smoothly.
In this role, you'll be more than just processing invoices, you'll be a key contributor to the accounting team, building relationships with vendors, solving problems, and helping drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Verify approvals and coding prior to payment processing.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive working relationships.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong data entry and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Experience managing high-volume invoice processing.
