Service Manager

Responsibilities Lead and oversee all activities within the service department to ensure quality service and high productivity. Manage department spending and control costs to achieve profitability goals. Provide repair quotes for customers and internal departments. Monitor and manage workloads, following up on job status as needed. Participate in branch meetings to align with company objectives. Recruit, train, coach, and develop service department staff, including performance management. Maintain workflow efficiency and enforce company standards and procedures. Oversee scheduling, inventory management, vendor relations, and department P&L. Set and strive to achieve department goals and objectives. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business. Address customer complaints promptly and in accordance with company guidelines. Promote and enforce safety policies, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Two to four years of related management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the heavy truck market. Strong customer service skills with a customer-focused approach. Confident and positive attitude. Ability to solve problems and think creatively.
