Help Desk Specialist

Salary: $52,000 - 52,000 per year Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in help desk or technical support.
• Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
• A customer-service-oriented approach and motivation to support users.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide first-line technical support by phone, email, and in person for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Record and manage support requests in a help desk ticketing system, resolving or escalating issues promptly.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
• Create and update knowledge base articles covering common issues and solutions.
• Work with IT colleagues on projects and initiatives to improve service delivery and the user experience.
• Train staff on new software applications and IT policies.
• Track IT equipment inventory and ensure devices are accounted for and maintained.
• Keep up with industry trends and technologies to provide proactive support.
