Speech and Language Pathologist

Under general supervision, responsible for providing speech, language, and dysphagia services to patients. This includes evaluations, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, and home programs. Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing goals and objectives in a manner that helps others achieve their own goals and objectives. Performs patient evaluations and administers treatment for speech language and swallowing disorders. Designs and revises plans of care and goals. Provides written and/or verbal reports to physicians. Completes documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements. Participates in in-service education programs. Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in speech and swallowing disorders. Participates in related activities such as patient care committees, case conferences, personnel orientation, community education projects, and in-service education. Attends staff meetings. Responsible for inpatient services such as bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring, and outpatient VFSS, in addition to outpatient speech therapy evaluation/intervention for the adult population. Candidate must be able to hit the ground running and work independently. EMR used is McKesson. Dress code is business casual or matching scrubs. Scheduling requests must be included in the profile.
