Supply Chain Director

We offer a 9/80 work schedule and foster a professional, high-energy culture where employees are empowered to succeed.The candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles, methodologies, and best practices, complemented by hands-on expertise in utilizing supply chain management software and tools. They will be strategic thinkers with a proactive approach, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong negotiation and contract management abilities. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.Multi-Site Responsibilities:Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Research, vet, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, and reliability to meet organizational needs.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to secure favorable conditions and long-term partnerships.Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, including cost reduction initiatives and market trend analysis.Supplier Relationship Management: Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships to ensure consistent supply and mitigate risks.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams such as procurement, logistics, marketing, and manufacturing to forecast needs and align sourcing activities.Risk Management: Assess supplier stability, manage supply chain risks, and implement contingency plans to prevent disruptions.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal procurement guidelines, track budgets, and prepare performance reports.Performance Analysis: Analyze supply chain metrics and market trends to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related fieldMasters Degree or Professional Certifications (e.g. CPSM, CSCP) are preferred10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in optics, photonics, aerospace, or precision manufacturing strongly preferredKnowledge, Ability and Skills:Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance data, and cost structures to make informed sourcing decisions.Negotiation and Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Industry Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, supply chain dynamics, and relevant market conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
