Main Responsibilities of a Technician:

• Perform diagnostics and repair vehicle, both in-bay and roadside when necessary
• Perform DOT Inspections
• Diagnose & repair AC, charging/starting systems, ABS diagnosis & repair, cooling system repairs, driveline/drivetrain diagnosis & repair.
• Communicate effectively with the driver or fleet
• Repair and replace tires
• Perform PM's

Technician Job Description:

We are looking for experienced technicians to perform repairs, both in-bay and roadside on class 7-8 vehicles. A good job candidate is a person who has a minimum of 1-year, verifiable experience or associates degree in diesel mechanics, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, making sure all transactions run smoothly, and every customer is satisfied with the service. The technician we would like to employ must be able to interact with our customers in a friendly manner and provide assistance should any customer require it. Excellent communication skills are paramount to help us continue to delight our customers and provide them with an outstanding experience. A qualified candidate must also be able to follow instructions and be a successful member of our team.

Responsibilities of a Technician:

• Greeting customers when entering and leaving the bays
• Work safely, creating a safe work environment for themselves, fellow technicians and our customers.
• Properly diagnosing the vehicle and recommending the correct repair
• Clean work area once repair is complete
• Performing road service using one of our four service trucks
• Assisting service writer to cross or look up parts
• Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
• ASE testing reimbursements, ASE incentives

Technician Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid TN drivers license
• 1 year or more, verifiable work experience as a class 7-8 tractor and/or trailer technician or associates degree in same.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Good math skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively resolve complaints by performing the proper repair
• Have tools, box and necessary test equipment
