Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on an LDRP unit with couplet care, maintaining a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with sterile speculum exams, assessing effacement, dilation, station, and presentation
• Apply and interpret external and internal fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Support breastfeeding and provide lactation assistance to postpartum patients
• Float to assist other units as needed without taking primary assignments
• Fulfill call requirements including two mandatory on-call shifts per six-week schedule and every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications
• Proficiency with external and internal fetal monitoring (EFM) and LDRP/Mother-Baby care
• Familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR communication framework

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Previous experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting
