Pediatric Dental Scheduler – Dentrix Experience Required

Li’l Sunshine Smiles Pediatric Dentistry**

Tampa, FL 33626 | Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $20–$24 per hour, based on experience

About the Position

Li’l Sunshine Smiles Pediatric Dentistry seeks an experienced, organized, and highly motivated Pediatric Dental Scheduler with strong Dentrix proficiency to join our team.

We are looking for more than someone who answers phones and books appointments. Our ideal candidate understands that effective scheduling directly impacts patient care, provider productivity, office efficiency, and practice growth.

You will take ownership of the appointment schedule, anticipate challenges, and proactively keep our providers' schedules productive and organized.**

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and optimize daily appointment schedules for multiple dental providers using Dentrix.

- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.

- Proactively fill cancellations, open appointments, and scheduling gaps.

- Manage patient recall systems and follow up with overdue patients.

- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.

- Maintain accurate patient information and appointment records in Dentrix.

- Communicate effectively with parents, dental assistants, providers, and management.

- Monitor scheduling opportunities to improve patient retention and office productivity.

- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for children and families.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of dental front-office experience.

- Strong working knowledge of Dentrix software is REQUIRED.

- Experience with dental appointment scheduling and insurance verification.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and solve scheduling challenges.

- Professional, dependable, friendly, and patient-focused.

- Pediatric dental experience preferred.

- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
