Registered Respiratory Therapist

Reporting to the Director of Respiratory Care Services the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care to a specified group of patients. Responsibilities include performing respiratory care procedures in response to patient needs and physician direction/orders, assessing the respiratory status of assigned patients through physical exam, chart review, and response to ordered therapy; and making recommendations, when appropriate, to affect and achieve an optimal level of response to the intervention ordered. The therapist performs airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required, collaborates with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given, and provides care for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient. Knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient's age is utilized to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patient. Appropriate parties are involved in the assessment, treatment and continuing care of the patient as needed.

Pay Range: $33.73 - 50.59
