Position Summary:

This is an opportunity for a highly skilled manager to support and develop MISSSEY’s Integrated Services teams serving Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Under the supervision of the Programs Director, the Integrated Services Manager (ISM) will provide leadership and supervision to the Integrated Services staff and oversee the delivery of comprehensive, strengths-based transformation coaching and case management services for youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation.

Working collaboratively with program leadership, the ISM provides coaching, guidance and direction for MISSSEY’s Direct Services Department, with a focus on strengthening staff performance, promoting effective and consistent service delivery  and ensuring services are provided consistently and in alignment with MISSSEY’s mission, values, and approach. As a member of program leadership, the ISM models accountability, collaboration, and sound judgment while fostering an environment in which staff are developed and equipped to provide high-quality, transformational services to youth.

The ideal candidate for this position would:

• Be highly skilled in, and committed to, youth development, with experience of supporting Black girls and other youth of color impacted by commercial sexual exploitation, trafficking, homelessness, gender-based violence, and abuse.
• Deeply invested in the healing, development and thriving of black women and girls and committed to continually learning and strengthening their practice.
• Have solid experience working with youth of color that have experienced homelessness, gender violence, trafficking and abuse.
• Be a strong, reflective leader with demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, motivating and developing staff while fostering a healing-centered collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture
• l Passionate about supporting women, girls, and gender-expansive youth.
• Highly skilled in youth development with the ability to address the bio-psychosocial, emotional, educational, vocational, and functional needs of young people.
• Be skilled in developing community partnerships and connecting youth and staff to resources that strengthen services and support young people to thrive. 
• Demonstrate strong judgement, organization, communication and relationship building skills with the ability to provide clear direction while maintaining a culture rooted in care, partnership and accountability. 
• Be aligned with MISSSEY’s mission, values and survivor-informed, healing centered approach to serving youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Supervision and Management (40%) 

• Work with Programs Director to lead direct transformation coaching and service planning
• Ensure all Transformation Coaches (TC) understand the stages of change and development, and lead a team to implement MISSSEY’s vision of high-quality programming. 
• Foster an environment that promotes harmony, partnership, alliance, healing, and thriving.
• Clearly communicate organizational vision, mission and goals and youth needs to staff, community allies, our funders, and our partners 
• Coach and support IS staff in maintaining high-quality, timely case documentation that accurately reflects services provided, youth progress and individualized service plans and  goals.
• Recruit, train, and motivate the Integrated Services (IS) team to implement MISSSEY’s vision of high-quality programming
• Support data collection and program evaluation efforts by ensuring that all case notes, participant evaluations, and other required documentation are being collected by IS staff and independent contractors and entered into MISSSEY’s online database in a timely manner.
• Ensure support and targeted intervention activities for identified youth

Leadership (15%) 

• Work with the Programs Director to plan and facilitate regular team meetings and trainings on various topics including MISSSEY’s trauma- and survivor-informed, healing-centered approach, and other best practices in CSE services and youth development;
• Foster an environment that promotes harmony, partnership, alliance, healing and thriving;
• Guide and participate in collaborative processes to improve all work at MISSSEY;
• Collaborate with MISSSEY leadership and staff to support organization-wide initiatives and events;
• Attend all relevant organizational meetings; represent the organization as needed at external meetings and events.

Accountability and Compliance (35%)

• Provide leadership for MISSSEY’s Integrated Services team in Contra Costa and Alameda County by  facilitating communication, planning services, assist in the writing of reports and assessments, and maintaining inspiring services for youth; 
• Develop and maintain positive partnerships through regular, strategic communication;
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of required program documentation in MISSSEY’s Apricot data base, including case notes, attendance, participation, youth incentives, participant evaluation and other required records. Monitor documentation compliance and address gaps with staff as needed. Approve and manage payroll, staff expenses (mileage, reimbursements, training), manage program intakes and referrals, make staff assignments. 

Communication (10%)

• Regularly attend -anti-trafficking network meetings, Alameda and Contra Costa County CSEC prevention meetings and other relevant partner and funder meetings;

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience working with strength-based and client-centered models, restorative and trauma-informed care practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences such as: psychology, criminal justice, social work and/or public health preferred. 
• Experience in trauma-informed healing centered youth development with CSEC youth
• At least 3 years experience supervising transformation coach (case management) staff
• Co-created a case management department. 
• Experience working with African American cis, trans and non-binary women and girls.
• Passion for supporting young people, promoting healing centered, trauma informed youth development practices and working towards social change.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to be dependable and present 
• Ability to multi-task and deal with high numbers of youth at one time
• Knowledge of at-risk youth and commercial sexual exploitation
• Ability to have healthy boundaries working with youth 
• Ability to respond to youth in crisis with de-escalation techniques and appropriate support 
• Ability to serve as a role model for youth being served
• Ability to administer policies and procedures that ensure the safety and confidentiality of program participants
• Ability to develop positive relationships with participants, colleagues, and supervisors 
• Ability to assume a leadership role in initiating workshops and activities
• Excellent communications skills

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds and move items weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment. 
• Requires computer use each day, including typing for many hours per day
• Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor, cell phone, and calculator
• Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone
• Must be able to stand for at least 20 minutes at a time

Work Environment:

• Occasional outdoor activities
• Shared office space; main offices are on the second floor with no elevator access
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle
• Requires transport of clients and, at times, their children, using their own vehicle
• Work in the community, including law enforcement facilities and county and state offices

• Current driver's license, reliable vehicle, proof of liability insurance coverage, and a clean driving record required
