Overview The Business Consultants play a critical role in facilitating employer engagement and support within the Workforce Solutions framework particularly with job fairs, evergreen positions, and career pathway employers. The role involves proactively outreaching and providing guidance on Workforce Solutions services, human resource and staffing matters, and labor laws. This role is instrumental in leading special projects, Rapid Response efforts, strategic use of job fairs and hiring events, and creating employment opportunities for program candidates. Key Responsibilities Partnership Development: Build and cultivate relationships with employers, nonprofit/community partners and educational institutions to facilitate new job opportunities. Customized Recruitment Strategies: Collaborate with employers to design and implement customized recruitment strategies that align with their hiring needs. Provide guidance on job descriptions, qualifications, and skill requirements. Promote the use of the full range of Texas workforce system services and facilities. Job Fairs and Hiring Events: Organize, promote, and participate in job fairs, hiring events, and networking sessions to connect employers directly with potential candidates. Primary POC and project managers for all Rapid Response efforts and provide services for layoff aversion or outplacement. Work closely with program recruiters ensuring enough positions exist to meet program hiring needs and goals. Annual Goals & Benchmarks Support Business-Forward Strategies to Fuel the Regional Economy Goal: Ensure Timely and Responsive Employer Support. Deliver fast and efficient support to employers by streamlining posting intake and maintaining proactive communication to ensure workforce needs are met promptly and accurately. Benchmarks: Intake 90% of all new job postings within two business days of receipt. Benchmarks: Log a minimum of 50 unique employer/partner contacts monthly within WIT. Improve Service Delivery Utilizing Technology and Innovative Solutions Goal: Maintain Exceptional Data Integrity and Service Promotion. Ensure accurate and timely employer data entry and job posting documentation by leveraging technology and analytics to improve transparency and service delivery. Benchmarks: Achieve 90% accuracy and timeliness in employer data entry and job posting documentation across all required fields, as measured by a monthly quality assurance audit. Benchmarks: Facilitate the services of 56 program year unique employers monthly. Benchmarks: Ensure 40% of posting are in Target Industries. Benchmarks: Maintain an avg pay rate of $18 for job orders entered. Goal: Establish and Execute Rapid Response Goal: Provide immediate and effective support during workforce disruptions by implementing structured processes and maintaining documentation accuracy. Benchmark: Achieve 95% accuracy in Rapid Response duties and documentation as measured by a monthly quality assurance audit in months where Rapid Response is needed. Serve as a Convener and Forge Strategic Partnerships Goal: Establish a cohesive job fair/hiring event strategy region wide. Create a unified approach to job fairs and hiring events across the region by coordinating logistics, engaging partners, and ensuring accurate reporting to deliver impactful events that connect employers with qualified talent. Benchmarks: Job Fairs per Q, 4-6 Hiring Events per month, 3 Youth/Youth Experience events annually (Spring break-Summer-Christmas holiday positions), 5-10 Interview Events per month. Benchmarks: Achieve 90% accuracy and timeliness in data entry, attendance, and hire documentation across all required fields, as measured by a monthly quality assurance audit. Increase Awareness of Services and Opportunities Goal: Maintain Employer Satisfaction and Successful Outcomes. Increase visibility and engagement with employers and job seekers.
