You will assist project and construction management in implementing and complying with project safety requirements and in addressing ES&H issues as they arise during project execution. You will work directly with other project-level functions (e.g., engineering, construction, subcontracts, procurement, project controls, document controls) to assist them in addressing the applicable ES&H requirements in their work activities and conduct daily site surveillance to verify adequate use of PPE, routine equipment inspections, project ES&H initiatives.It is also expected that you will perform any administrative duties to assist in daily operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and systematic professional with a knack for managing business operations.Reporting RelationshipsThe Site Safety Assistant and Administrator will report directly to the Commissioning and Maintenance ManagerMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists safety manager, project manager and others in enforcing and adhering to organizational policies for health, safety, and risk management.Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communitiesWill work to develop and maintain ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actionsDetects, eliminates and controls hazardous conditions on a project.Helps identify and coordinate any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnelLeads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issuesPrepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retentionAssists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares incident investigation reportsRecommends and implements improvements in processes, procedures, and work activities to minimize hazard potentialParticipates in and supports employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programsDevelop and supports ES&H recognition programsResearch issues and provides regulatory interpretation and technical adviceProvides support to ES&H field and office personnelDevelop and conduct training courses related to client sites and understand client safety expectationsTracks, documents and catalogs all safety metrics KPI's using contract management accounts including ISNetworld, KGC & ACC, and DISA.EducationHigh school diploma or GED certificateAssociate degree or technical apprenticeship preferredOSHA 30 or higherSkills and QualificationsMinimum of 3-5 years of experience related to environmental, health, or science related disciplines.Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 requiredCan perform root cause analysis as needed for incident investigationsConducts Project Contractor OrientationLeads and implements Project ESH Audits, monitoring completion of specified corrective actionsCoaches Contractor Project and Safety Team on the OUSA Processes and expectationsKnowledge of safety programs/engineering systems, principles, and methodologies.Knowledge of national safety laws/regulations and regulatory agencies’ regulatory requirements and responsibilities, industry standards/current practices for ES&H, and management practices for minimizing potential ES&H risks during project execution.Knowledge of hazardous materials and physical risks and the mechanisms to mitigate them.Experience in ES&H assessments/inspection during construction and commissioning phaseExperience in managing and/or providing technical oversight of ES&H subcontractors or consultants.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and office management software.Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Strict professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all company levels.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Familiarity with HR practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance issues.Physical RequirementsPerform work at heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, roofs, or other areas occasionally or as job requiresAble to positively identify colors of wiresOrgano USA, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disabled/Veterans #J-18808-Ljbffr
