Principal Systems Engineer – Architecture and Requirements (Tucson, AZ) Location: Tucson, AZ Security Clearance: Secret DoD clearance required (interim clearance acceptable) Citizenship: U.S. citizen required What You Will Do Create and manage systems architecture, requirements, interface definitions and description documents, system integration, and system verification using Cameo by collaborating with multiple IPTLs and SMEs to obtain necessary design information. Work with suppliers and the supply chain organization for procured items; act as Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for assembly support flight test activities, including field support, telemetry analysis post‑flight, and writing test reports. Provide systems engineering technical expertise in development, integration, troubleshooting and failure investigations. Lead technical discussions and formulate action plans by leveraging company subject‑matter experts across multiple engineering disciplines. Support Statistical Process Control assessments in the factory and for hardware verification of missile sections, launch platforms, and higher‑level assemblies. Lead peer reviews and formal release of CDRLs and technical data package documents. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of eight years of relevant experience. Experience working independently with SMEs, CEs, LSEs, TAs, IPTLs, REAs, and other program stakeholders to make informed technical design decisions. Experience leading definition, decomposition, and verification approach of requirements through specification release using MBSE tools such as Cameo. Experience leading definition and decomposition of System‑of‑Systems functional and physical architecture using MBSE tools such as Cameo. Experience in areas of the Systems‑V model. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics. Experience with cPDM, CCB, and document release (engineering and formal release). Experience with requirements management using Cameo. Experience creating and linking requirements, architecture, and verification artifacts in Cameo. Experience with system and sub‑system level requirements development, software architecture design and documentation. Experience in at least four areas of the Systems‑V model. Strong communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills with customers and leading technical solutions. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Familiarity with military systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures. Familiarity with DoD/DoW customer infrastructure and Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle.
