About the Position

Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7am - 7:30pm) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) - State License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Associate's Degree in Nursing Description: Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association and legally by the state regulations. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds professional performance standards, including ethical and culturally congruent practice. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and coordination of care. Acts as a patient and family advocate. Performs point of care testing as required. Formulates decisions and actions based on ethical principles. Maintains patient, staff, and organizational data confidentiality and security. Identifies expected outcomes and develops individualized plans of care. Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies. Initiates patient discharge planning at the time of patient contact. Ensures that required documentation is performed accurately and timely. Assumes leadership roles and delegates appropriately to unlicensed personnel. Engages in ongoing professional development and seeks to advance knowledge and competence in nursing practice. Participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigation. Performs other duties as assigned.
