Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. This role will involve supporting patients awaiting inpatient care and may require floating between observation units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support ED boarders who are patients waiting for a bed and require inpatient care.
• Float to observation units as needed, providing care to diverse patient populations.
• Manage pre-cardiac catheterization and ports as part of patient assessment and treatment protocols.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Weekend shifts: 4 shifts (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) are required within a 6-week period.
• Additionally, the position includes 3 shifts on Mondays and 3 shifts on Fridays.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but it is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience in managing pre-cardiac catheterization and ports is essential.
• Registered Nurse license must be active and compact at the time of submission.
• Current certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting is necessary.
• Travel experience is required.

Additional Requirements

• Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
• Flu vaccination is required.
• Personal grooming standards include no nose rings or gauged earrings; nails must be kept to less than 1/4 inch in length, and natural nails are preferred (polish is acceptable).
• Scrubs must be navy blue and free of any agency or brand logos, as strictly enforced.
• Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces.
• No cafeteria on-site, but a refrigerator and microwave are provided.

Floating Information

The registered nurse may be required to float to various observation units as necessary based on patient care needs.
