Physician-Deputy Chief of Gastroenterology

Job Title

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Outpatient and electronic consultation services related to gastroenterology and hepatology.
• Overseeing the administration of conscious sedation.
• Performing standard GI procedures such as EGD (upper endoscopy), colonoscopies, and other procedures.
• The incumbent should be able to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods, and techniques.
• Ability to work in collaboration with gastroenterology advance practice provider(s) throughout the Orlando Healthcare System.
• Work alongside the chief of gastroenterology and support the sections administrative duties.
• Supervise the outpatient activities of the section of gastroenterology.
• Supervise the activities of the advanced practice provider(s).
• Assist the section Chief in addressing congressional, patient's complaints, discipline staff, arrange coverage, and/or manage the daily activities of the section.

50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
