Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician

A well-established industrial manufacturing and metal processing operation in the Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment reliability and production uptime. The facility operates a range of fabrication, processing, and material handling equipment used to produce large metal components for industrial and construction applications. This position plays a key role in maintaining critical equipment and supporting safe, efficient plant operations.

Position Summary

The Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician performs multi-disciplinary maintenance and troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within a heavy industrial production environment. This role focuses heavily on diagnosing electrical and control issues while also supporting mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance across production equipment, lifting systems, and plant utilities. The ideal candidate is a strong industrial troubleshooter with the ability to identify root causes of equipment failures and perform lasting repairs that support safe and reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot industrial motor and control circuits including 3-phase electrical systems
• Diagnose issues with starters, relays, sensors, limit switches, safety circuits, and other control components
• Assist with troubleshooting variable frequency drives and motor control equipment
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation
• Support basic PLC troubleshooting including signal tracing and I/O verification
• Maintain mechanical power transmission components such as bearings, couplings, gearboxes, chains, and belt systems
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems including valves, pumps, cylinders, and regulators
• Perform equipment adjustments, component replacement, and mechanical repairs as needed
• Assist with inspection and maintenance of overhead lifting equipment and hoists
• Diagnose issues with crane controls, safety devices, and mechanical components
• Support safe operation of lifting equipment used throughout the facility
• Maintain equipment used in metal processing and fabrication operations
• Support machines such as forming equipment, cutting systems, conveyors, and material handling lines
• Respond to production equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on plant equipment
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history using maintenance tracking systems
• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements to maintenance programs
• Assist with spare parts management and equipment reliability initiatives
• Follow established safety procedures including lockout/tagout and safe work practices
• Utilize proper PPE and follow electrical safety guidelines
• Support facility safety initiatives and participate in incident investigations when necessary

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
• Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial electrical systems and motor controls
• Experience maintaining mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience working around production equipment in industrial facilities
• Ability to work in demanding industrial environments including elevated work areas and production floors

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial electrical certification or formal electrical training
• Experience working with lifting equipment or overhead crane systems
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting or industrial automation systems
• Welding or light fabrication experience related to maintenance work
• Safety certifications such as OSHA training, fall protection, or confined space

This role operates in a heavy industrial production environment and may involve exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving machinery. Work may require standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, working at heights, and handling tools or components with assistance.
