Schedule

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling based on departmental needs.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. You will work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, delivering emergency care to patients with diverse medical conditions and needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions effectively, including cardiac monitoring.
• Engage in patient education and maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year in an emergency department setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI certifications required prior to hire.
• NIHSS and ENPC certifications are needed before starting the role.
• Experience in a high-volume emergency department (100,000 visits annually) preferred.
• Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to peers.
