Assistant Controller

Job Location: Kimberton, PA 19442 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 Travel Percentage: Negligible Job Category: Accounting Position Summary Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and stepping into a leadership role as needed. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Key Responsibilities Perform journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Manage accounts payable and receivable; follow up on outstanding balances and build strong relationships with client payables departments Assist with month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare for and support annual audits Provide leadership and oversight within the department in the absence of the Controller Participate in ongoing efforts to improve accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-site, service-based or managed services environment Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Experience with accounts receivable management, including client communications and collections Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take initiative in a team-based setting Comfortable navigating the accounting needs of a growing, hands-on operation Preferred Qualifications Experience in the contract food service, hospitality, or healthcare industry Exposure to multi-entity accounting Prior experience leading or supervising accounting team members What We Offer Competitive salary $70,000–$80,000 Opportunity to grow into leadership roles Supportive and collaborative team culture Mission-driven company with values rooted in service #J-18808-Ljbffr
