Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide expert care in a high-risk obstetrical unit. This role involves managing high-acuity patients, performing deliveries, and ensuring optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer comprehensive nursing care to high-risk obstetrical patients in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• 
  Circulate in c-section procedures and recover high-acuity patients post-delivery.
  
  
• 
  Monitor fetal heart rates using GE fetal monitors and interpret findings.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech system.
  
  
• 
  Educate and support patients and their families through labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license with current credentials.
  
  
• 
  Bring at least 2 years of recent high-risk labor and delivery experience.
  
  
• 
  Obtain and maintain a current Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certification.
  
  
• 
  Have experience with vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, and postpartum recovery.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in high-risk OB care procedures and patient management.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work 13-week travel assignments with flexible scheduling including night shifts.
