Site Supervisor (Data Centers) - Richmond, VA Job Category: Program and Project Management Requisition Number: SITES015876 Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Richmond, VA Convergint is looking for a full-time, results-driven Field Project Manager to join our culture. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects. The role works with management and the administrative project team to ensure projects are effectively executed within contractual scope, budget, and time schedules. Responsibilities Oversee overall site management of projects for successful and timely completion within budget and scope. Work with the Project Coordinator to prepare project installation plans and implement job procedures. Supervise Project Specialists, Installers, and subcontractors, including mentoring, coaching, planning, assigning, and directing work. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, directing on-site activities and verifying quality assurance standards. Assist in overall coordination of specific projects; recommend potential changes in scope and identify ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Identify potential project risks, communicate to appropriate parties, and help develop and implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and deadlines. Ensure overall quality of installations in accordance with national and local codes and company standards. Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment (security, fire alarm and life safety, and/or building automation), providing technical support and training to customers. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Qualifications Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; consistently meet customer needs without prompting. Strong supervision skills and installation experience related to building automation, fire alarm, or electronic security systems. Strong field supervision skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions. Self-starter who works well without supervision. Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to read blueprints, drawings, and perform calculations (area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.). Frequent visits to job sites required; minimal overnight travel required; valid driver’s license required. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Highly proficient computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel). Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience. Certifications: product-specific certifications, industry-specific certifications and/or licenses (Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Milestone, ONSSI, AXIS).
