Retail Floor Planning Analyst

Oxford Solutions is working with a retail client with a contract opening for a Floor Planning Analyst. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office. This position focuses on store layout strategy, space optimization, and data-driven merchandising decisions to support overall business performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop store-specific seasonal and quarterly floorplans aligned with financial and merchandising strategies
• Partner with space planning and merchandising teams to support new store openings, remodels, and prototype layouts
• Build and analyze forecasting models, including heat maps, to guide space allocation decisions
• Evaluate store performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across regions and categories
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve sales productivity and store efficiency
• Present insights and analysis to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams
• Support floorplan execution cycles, ensuring alignment with business priorities and visual merchandising standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain proper product adjacencies and brand presentation
• Review and validate floorplans for accuracy and execution readiness at the store level
• Analyze store feedback and identify process improvements to enhance planning effectiveness
• Contribute to special projects, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives within space planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Analytics, or a related field preferred
• Experience in retail space planning, merchandising analytics, or floor planning
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate into business recommendations
• Experience working with planning tools, reporting systems, and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and execution
