Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality obstetrical care to patients while assisting in labor, delivery, and recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and recover C-sections.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients.
• Provide support for breastfeeding and lactation.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and recognize abnormal patterns.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, and FHM.

Additional Unit Details

• 12 beds, 11 rooms dedicated to OB Triage, Antepartum, and Delivery care for patients 32 weeks and above.
• Requirement to float to the Operating Room (OR) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Every third weekend and 24-hour on-call duty every four weeks are required.
