Faculty Positions in Classical Hematology

Our organization is actively seeking candidates for faculty roles at the Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor levels within the Division of Classical Hematology in the Department of Medicine. This opportunity is based at a prestigious medical school and affiliated medical center.

The selected individual will engage in a full-time academic practice centered on classical hematology, providing both outpatient and inpatient care. Responsibilities will include managing complex cases related to hemostasis and thrombosis, particularly in contexts involving advanced surgical procedures, organ transplants, and high-risk maternal-fetal medicine. Key areas of academic focus that align with our division's current priorities include:

• Thrombosis and malignancy
• Sickle cell disease and hemoglobinopathies
• Bleeding and thrombosis issues in women
• Inherited platelet disorders

Clinical duties will encompass participation in the inpatient hematology consultation service and the outpatient non-malignant hematology clinic, including the federally-funded Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania, which offers extensive clinical resources and advanced diagnostic tools.
