Overview Registered Nurse – Radiation Oncology travel assignment in Saratoga Springs, NY. Start date: 07/27/2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: $2,079–$2,183 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. Unit: Radiation Oncology in a hospital setting. Orientation: 40 hours. Schedule: Monday–Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on‑call. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,079–$2,183 per week Contract duration: several weeks Shift: 3x12 nights Start date: 07/27/2026 Work setting: Radiation Oncology unit within a hospital Schedule: Block schedule, no weekends/holidays/call; orientation provided Responsibilities Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment, including IV/port access and hydration. Support radiation therapy procedures, administer injections, and assist with SpacerOAR procedures as indicated. Monitor patient status, assess for adverse effects, and respond to changes in clinical condition. Administer medications per care plan and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team (pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response) and EPIC charting. Prepare patients for treatment sessions, document care accurately, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning as needed. Requirements NY State RN license required at time of submission. BLS certification (mandatory). EPIC EMR experience required. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience; radiation oncology experience with IV/port access required. Ability to perform radiation oncology procedures and related nursing duties; previous charge or leadership experience preferred. Willingness to float within the hospital as needed within scope of practice. HealthStream modules required prior to start; approximate 12–15 hours of RN‑focused training with deadline at 7:00 AM the Wednesday prior to start.
