DescriptionJOB DETAILSDepartment: Radiology AdministrationFTE: 1.0Shift(s): DaysLocation: In-PersonPurpose of this position: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and in conjunction with the radiologists to ensure service line development, personnel management and resource allocation and control in order to support and enhance patient care. Responsible for Radiology services provided within the hospital and satellite clinics.RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and implement short and long term goals; organize, define, and manage staff and capital equipment in radiology aligned with vision and mission statementsSelect, train, evaluate leadership team consistent with organizational policies, code of conduct, essentials, performance standards, strategic plan and vision. Coach’s and develops direct reports providing feedback, leadership development, problem solving and decision-making skills. Completes annual performance appraisalsDevelop, maintain, evaluate, and recommend budget, inventory management, capital planning, operating systems, and cost accounting systems as appropriate. Develops variance reporting and accountability for budget adherenceMaintains a charging and billing system to ensure that correct charges are being made and distributedMaintain all clinical services in accordance with federal, state, local and accrediting agency standardsDevelop and maintain administrative procedure manuals, technical protocols, and forms; standards for quality control/quality assurance of procedure, equipment, and staff performance; and technical protocol and procedure manuals. Maintain and/or oversee written documentation of quality performance of equipment and vendorsMonitors compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policy for patient services, personnel management, and environmental safety in accordance with policies and proceduresAttend department management meetings and other hospital meetings to further management goals and coordinate patient careDevelops, implements, and evaluates an ongoing patient and family experience program, which ensures alignment with the hospital mission. Fosters a service, which is consistent with the patient care beliefs and shared philosophyServes as a resource to nurse managers and department managers within and across service linesActively participates in service, departmental, and hospital wide committees, as assigned, providing ongoing communication to those one representsSeeks new program strategies and program enhancements, which would expand patient services; explores required resources and reviews the impact; initiates program proposals and submits them to the hospital administration for considerationInterprets/represents the practice and role of the hospital to allied healthcare professionals and physicians effectivelyIs responsible for the department’s operational excellence and ensures that the department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standardsEffectively communicates departmental, organizational, and industrial information to staffQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in health sciences/ business administration or currently in progress toward degree with completion date identified prior to hireCertification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)Maintains minimum ECE credits as mandated by the accrediting bodies; ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB.-OR-An approved equivalent combination of experience and educationCertification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)Maintains minimum ECE credits as mandated by the accrediting bodies; ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB.Preferred Qualifications:Five+ years of radiology and service line leadership experienceJob Level: DirectorEmployee Status: Regular
