Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Torrance, California. This position requires a qualified healthcare professional to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. The role involves managing diverse patient cases and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Job Details: Location: Torrance, California Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts Schedule: Night shifts totaling 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid California license, at least 2 years of emergency room nursing experience, current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications, and a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in emergency care. Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or II experience, experience managing arterial lines, ventilated patients, stroke or neuro-trauma cases, and familiarity with Epic charting system. Float: Float rotation may be required; staff might be float to pediatric units, with support available. Additional Information: The position involves managing a patient census of approximately 180 visits per day across 29 patient rooms. Candidates will work with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The facility accepts a compact license and requires submission of two references covering the last three years. Start Date: 09/14/2026 RTO Restrictions: RTO must be included at time of submission; requests beyond 7 days may delay offer processing. Candidates must commit to working major holidays as specified. Requirements: At least 2 years of ER experience, valid state license, current certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS).
