What You'll Do

• Provide diagnostic assessments and formulate treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment efficacy, including lab work review
• Conduct individual therapy sessions and psychoeducation
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including treatment details and medication history
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, confidentiality, and safety protocols
• Serve as a client advocate and resource for patients and their families

What You Need

• Required:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current RN license and license as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Iowa
  • Certification as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or accepted certifying body
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mental health medications and assessments
• Preferred:
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Familiarity with involuntary hospitalization laws, managed care concepts, and trauma-informed care
