Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a Night 3x12-Hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15). Weekends are required every other weekend, and candidates must be available to work holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with medical/surgical experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations, managing various medical and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including Heparin and Insulin, according to established protocols.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals and report changes to the medical team.
• Float to similar units as necessary.
• Provide wound care and other necessary treatments.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and other support teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical nursing role.
• BCLS Certification required.
• Experience with medication administration protocols and patient monitoring.
• Strong ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage patients under IV insulin protocols.
