Job Title: Field SuperintendentDepartment: Field FLSA Status: ExemptReports to: Field Operations ManagerSalary: Commensurate with experience + BenefitsJOB SUMMARY:The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and effectively managing daily on-site activities. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants and clients while successfully directing the subcontractors and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. This individual will work closely with the Project Manager and fulfill an integral role on the project.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.Must follow the direction of the Field Operations ManagerDirect supervision and management of crewSupervise, direct and coordinate labor activityCoordinate the delivery of tools, materials and equipment, both scheduling and quantitiesCommunicate and coordinate with other trades and subcontractors on siteDaily management of construction scheduleRead, understand and communicate construction documents such as drawings, scopes of work, schedules, specifications, safety manuals, supervisor manual etc.Responsible for paperwork, time sheets and ensuring safety are being followedAttend job-site progress and coordination meetingsEnsure all company policies, standards and procedures are adhered toEnsure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized mannerCoordinate with BIM and Fabrication Proactive individuals must be able to independently resolve problems or conflicts and adapt to changing situationsKnowledge of construction site activitiesTime management with the ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgencyMust understand construction terms, scheduling, and planning conceptsKnowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulationsMust be computer literateAble to read and understand drawings and specificationsHave knowledge of the plumbing and/or mechanical codeHave knowledge of the ADA code Have knowledge of AHCA where applicable.Be able to read a submittal sheet for rough in for fixtures, carriers, equipment etc.Strong problem-solving abilityMust be able to anticipate changes in schedule and prioritize workload.Must be able to adhere to budgets for accurate cost to complete.Must be able to Deal with BIM and Fabrication/CoordinateStrong written and oral communicationWill be responsible to communicate with the project manager daily to inform him or her of any issues with the crew, material, or any other issue that may occur on the jobsite.Must follow and enforce all safety and operational rules required by WRN and the GC for that site.Bring optimization to work every day.Always be in control of your destiny.Never stop learning.Confidentiality is essential.JOB REQUIREMENTS:For consideration, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of plumbing and/or mechanical construction field experience. A Journeyman’s license in the respected trade is a plus.For consideration, candidates must be able to successfully complete the Human Resources onboarding process and pass the Safety Orientation training without the assistance of an interpreter. This includes fully understanding the content delivered by the instructor and passing the associated exams independently. Employee must also be able to receive and understand instructions provided by their supervisor and communicate directly with them without the need for interpretation services.For safety, operational efficiency, and compliance reasons, the ability to understand communicate, and follow workplace safety instructions in English is required.
