Food Service Worker

Job Title

Short Order Cooking:

• Prepares grilled sandwich items such as cheeseburgers, grilled ham and cheese.
• Uses fryer for such items as French fries and fried chicken sandwiches.
• Cuts meats and prepares sandwiches such as a ham and turkey club.
• Prepares chef salads, sets up salad bar.
• Prepares coffee and tea for serving.
• Stocks and readies grill area for preparing of food.
• May be required to help prepare full course meals on special occasions; serves food cafeteria-style to diners and/or carries pre-ordered food to tables.

Janitorial:

• Vacuums carpets, cleans furniture, washes floors.
• Performs a full range of cleaning tasks in the building including washing walls, baseboards, windows and ledges, cleaning appliances, counters, vents, mirrors, commodes and urinals.
• Empties ash trays, waste and garbage containers.

Bussing:

• Removes dishes and utensils from tables.
• Resets tables with place mats, utensils, napkins, sugar, salt, etc.
• Sets up or assists in setting up and taking down tables and chairs for special parties or functions.

Other:

• May operate cash register and make associated reports when collecting payment for meals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
