#Product Thermal Test Engineer, Senior

Job Overview Work as part of a large test and engineering systems organization which handles test automation infrastructure, test strategy, test plan development and execution and report management in Power and thermal test areas of CPU, DDR, Peripherals, AI and other technologies. Role will include daily collaboration with other test engineers, the power ecosystem and product engineers. Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases on test platform. Plan and execute test cases for Power/Thermal SW and debug SW related issues/problems on all Qualcomm chipsets for various HLOS and non-HLOS subsystems (Android, Windows, etc.). Execute functional/features tests for power/thermal SW and power/thermal characterization/optimization. Perform thermal and power testing of high peak power use cases. Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross‑functional teams. Validate thermal mitigation algorithms and perform junction/skin temperature profiling. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. Understanding of SW product life cycle and experience with SW test methodologies. Experience with any operating systems platform testing (Google Android, Windows Phone, etc.). Analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. High level organization and results documentation. Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity. Communication and ability to partner with others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Must be flexible, independent, and self‑motivated. Thermal/Power test experience on any platform is a plus. Knowledge of Power and Thermal SW features is a plus. Knowledge/experience of embedded systems is a plus. Knowledge of Thermal Device Profile is a plus. Experience with Ubuntu/Linux server OS and related tools is a plus. Development skills in Python, C/C++ is a plus. Pay Range and Other Compensation & Benefits $107,000.00 - $160,600.00. The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
