We are a busy pediatric ophthalmology practice seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Medical Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to join our Boca Raton team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients and families, communicates professionally, and can stay organized in a fast-paced medical office. This is a great opportunity for someone with medical front-office experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position with a close-knit specialty practice.

Responsibilities

● Greet and check in patients and families

● Answer and manage incoming phone calls

● Schedule and confirm patient appointments

● Verify insurance eligibility and benefits

● Review referrals and patient information

● Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances

● Assist with patient check-out and follow-up scheduling

● Maintain accurate demographic and insurance information

● Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents and caregivers

● Work closely with physicians, technicians, and other front-office team members

● Assist with additional administrative duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

● Previous medical front desk, medical receptionist, or patient coordinator experience preferred

● Ophthalmology experience is a plus, but not required

● Strong customer-service and communication skills

● Comfortable discussing insurance benefits and patient balances

● Dependable and punctual

● Organized and detail-oriented

● Comfortable multitasking in a busy environment

● Professional and positive when interacting with patients, parents, physicians, and coworkers

● Willing to learn and be part of a team

*Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
