ARS employees are motivated through our industry competitive benefits package, our awards and recognition program, and personalized attention from ARS Senior Managers.Responsibilities Include:The individual shall be able to:Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.Improving operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products.Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development life cycle.Plan and or implement agile acquisition/SW development techniques.Plan and or implement DevOps processes and techniques for Cloud and non-cloud applications.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:Must be a US citizenTop Secret Security ClearanceBachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience10+ years of experience creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software and/or applicationsKnowledgeable in multiple programming languages to include Python, Java, JavaScript, and C languagesAbility to Integrate with other organizations/teamsAbility to develop a highly effective working relationship with the customer.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience12+ years of experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems development5+ years in multiple programming languages to include Python, Java, JavaScript, and C languages is preferredExperience working and incorporating Agile Scrum development methodologyThe expected annual salary range: $160k - $180k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations.
