Sales Engineer

Travel: Approximately 30%-50% regionally I’m looking to speak with experienced industrial automation sales professionals across Northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin regarding confidential opportunities with automation manufacturers, integrators and solution providers. The Opportunity Manage and develop a regional sales territory Generate new business while growing established accounts Work with manufacturers, OEMs, machine builders, system integrators and end users Understand customer applications and recommend suitable automation solutions Coordinate with application engineers on demonstrations, specifications, proposals and project requirements Maintain an accurate pipeline, sales forecast and CRM activity Attend customer sites, industry events and distributor meetings Previous technical sales experience within industrial automation, robotics or manufacturing technology Experience selling one or more of the following: PLC, HMI or SCADA systems Robotics, cobots or autonomous mobile robots Machine vision, sensors or identification systems Servo systems, motion control or variable‑frequency drives Machine safety or industrial control components Packaging, conveyor or material‑handling automation Proven success developing accounts and achieving sales targets Comfortable discussing technical applications with engineers, operations teams and senior decision‑makers Located within practical reach of the Chicago‑Milwaukee corridor Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the territory Candidates do not need experience across every technology listed. Strong automation knowledge combined with a successful technical sales record is most important.
