Pharmacy Technician | La Vergne, Tennessee

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician skilled in RX operations to support pharmacy services in La Vergne, TN. This contract position offers hands-on experience within a fast-paced pharmacy environment where accuracy, customer service, and teamwork are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Manage inventory including receiving, storing, and restocking pharmaceutical supplies
Process prescription orders utilizing pharmacy software systems
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and guiding patients
Maintain compliance with all regulatory guidelines and safety procedures
Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication dispensing protocols
Familiarity with pharmacy software and prescription processing systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills for interacting with pharmacists and patients
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician preferred but not required

Location:

Based in La Vergne, Tennessee, with access to local amenities
