Senior Product Designer
Consumer technology company
The Role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as a senior individual contributor shaping the look, feel and behavior of a consumer mobile app, from first-time use through core flows and paid upgrades. Work directly with executive leadership and engineering to deliver refined work quickly, while introducing AI-assisted workflows that let a lean team produce more.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of the full mobile app experience across both major mobile platforms, starting with one and expanding to the other.
- Create polished, interactive prototypes that can be tested on a real phone and moved into delivery fast.
- Explore new AI-driven interaction patterns, such as ambient notifications, conversational features and hands-free use.
- Build and maintain a design system covering typography, color, motion, sound and iconography, organized so automated tools can apply it consistently.
- Introduce AI-agent-based workflows that take over repetitive production tasks, such as generating assets, testing design variations and assembling prototypes.
- Work daily with executive leadership to inform product direction.
- Collaborate closely with mobile engineering, marketing and operations colleagues to launch on a fast cadence.
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 12 years of experience in consumer product design, ideally at a widely recognized brand or a smaller brand with a devoted following.
- Hands-on design experience with native iOS and Android consumer apps.
- An AI-native way of working: you design and ship with coding agents and build agents for production design tasks, beyond using Figma alone.
- Experience designing subscription and monetization flows, including paywalls, conversion and upgrade paths.
- Refined, premium visual craft supported by solid mobile UX fundamentals, demonstrated in a portfolio.
- Comfort with video and motion, and skill in high-fidelity on-device prototyping using tools such as Figma and SwiftUI.
- Leadership potential to grow into a staff-level designer and manage a small design team.
