Embark on an exciting contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a dedicated Physical Therapist in a vibrant school community close to New York, NY. This full-time position is tailored for professionals passionate about helping children and adolescents develop essential physical skills and enhance their educational experience.
As part of the school-based healthcare team, your expertise will make a lasting impact while you enjoy a balanced 35-hour work week. You’ll partner with educators, families, and other specialists to support students’ physical development in inclusive and rewarding educational settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in New York
- Previous experience within a school environment or pediatric setting preferred
- Understanding of K-12 physical therapy needs, including IEP implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students across grades K-12
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to promote student success and participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes according to school policy and state law
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and goal achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and guidance on student capabilities and recommendations for accommodations
- Provide in-service training and resources to school personnel as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
