Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Completion of a fellowship in Headache Medicine is mandatory
• Possession of a valid State of Michigan License
• Proven expertise in handling complex headache disorders, including chronic migraines, cluster headaches, and medication overuse headaches
• Skilled in headache procedures such as botulinum toxin injections and nerve blocks
• Excellent communication abilities and patient education skills

Key Responsibilities

Your daily activities may involve:

• Assessing and managing patients with both primary and secondary headache disorders
• Conducting procedures like Botox for chronic migraines and peripheral nerve blocks
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including pain management, behavioral health, and primary care
• Creating personalized treatment plans that incorporate both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic methods
• Providing education to patients on lifestyle changes, adherence to treatment, and strategies for managing migraines
• Engaging in team-based care initiatives and quality improvement projects
