Product Liability Litigation Associate - Hybrid
The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis
Established and well-respected small downtown litigation defense firm seeks a full-time associate. The caseload will include a mix of asbestos, complex and technical product liability, warranty claims, and general insurance defense litigation. Duties will include (but not be limited to): drafting pleadings, attending motion dockets, taking depositions, organizing discovery responses, attending court hearings, and participating in settlement negotiations. Qualified candidates will have 1-4 years of civil litigation experience and an active license to practice law in Missouri or Illinois. Missouri-licensed candidates must be eligible for reciprocity in Illinois or willing to sit for the Illinois bar exam. Ideal candidate will have made court appearances, attended depositions, and independently drafted basic pleadings. Firm cannot consider candidates with plaintiff asbestos experience due to conflicts.
