Location: Matthews, NC
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Standard Business Hours)
Compensation: Starting at $60,000+ annually, based on experience
Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations and contribute to a positive employee experience. This role plays a key part in ensuring processes run smoothly across onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and comfortable handling confidential information.
Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate new hire onboarding, including document collection, orientation scheduling, and system setup
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR systems and personnel files
• Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee inquiries
• Support payroll preparation by ensuring employee data changes are properly recorded and communicated
• Coordinate recruitment logistics such as interview scheduling and candidate communication
• Help ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and internal procedures
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, programs, and procedures
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs
• Track and report HR metrics as needed
• Provide general administrative support to the HR function

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an HR, administrative, or related support role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment law basics, and compliance standards preferred
