About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing and collaborative finance team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting functions, support financial reporting, participate in audits, and drive process improvements that strengthen the overall accounting operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare financial reports and support management with accounting analysis
• Manage cash reconciliations and support daily accounting operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules and documentation
• Assist with maintaining and enhancing internal controls and accounting procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within accounting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and applicable financial reporting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience working with ERP or accounting software systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification
• Public accounting experience
• Experience supporting audits and internal controls
• Multi-entity accounting experience
• Process improvement or systems implementation experience
