Senior Accountant

ProspectBlue is partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is a hands-on accounting role with responsibility for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, consolidations, and financial reporting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is someone who understands the “why” behind the numbers, can think independently, and is comfortable taking ownership of their work. This is a great opportunity for a strong accountant who enjoys being involved in the details while also looking for opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the broader finance function. What You’ll Do: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications Support the consolidation of multiple entities and currencies Assist with intercompany billing, eliminations, and reconciliations Perform balance sheet and other account reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances Support month-end close activities and ensure deadlines are met Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting and audit purposes Assist with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation Maintain prepaid expense schedules and related amortization Record and reconcile procurement card (P-card) activity, including accruals and postings Analyze accounts to ensure transactions are properly classified and reported Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial information is accurate and complete Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls Provide support across the accounting function and take on additional responsibilities as needed What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3–5+ years of accounting experience in a public accounting or corporate environment Experience working with multiple entities and/or consolidations CPA or CPA eligibility preferred Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Excellent attention to detail and organization Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and leaders across the organization Most importantly, a self-starter who thinks critically, asks questions, and can work independently Why This Opportunity?
