Dispatch Coordinator

Dispatch Coordinator We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to support our operations, purchasing, and sales teams. This position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound material shipments, communicating with drivers and management, and ensuring efficient transportation scheduling and cost control. Responsibilities Monitor and manage transportation costs, including maintaining delivery zone and route spreadsheets. Assist the Operations Manager with scheduling and tracking inbound materials through outside hauling companies. Develop transportation contacts and secure competitive local hauling rates. Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with internal departments and outside carriers. Communicate transportation updates, delays, and scheduling changes to drivers and management. Maintain accurate dispatch records and transportation documentation. Provide excellent customer service while ensuring timely deliveries. Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, or customer service experience preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
