Hawthorne Chevy is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Sales Representative to join our team. Serving an established community with a loyal customer base, our dealership values lasting relationships, personalized service, and a sales experience built on trust.

We’re looking for a dependable, driven sales professional who takes ownership of results and wants to build a long-term career. Previous Chevrolet sales experience is strongly preferred. Success in this role requires consistent follow-through, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to turn strong relationships into repeat business, referrals, and sales growth.

What We Offer

• $600 a week draw against commission. The draw is an advance against earned commissions, not additional base pay.
• Starting commission rates: 22% of commissionable front-end gross profit and 8% of commissionable back-end gross profit, as defined in the dealership’s written pay plan.
• Commission rates increase with tenure according to the dealership’s compensation plan.
• Uncapped earning potential . Actual earnings depend on individual sales performance and the terms of the dealership’s compensation plan.

What You’ll Do

• Help customers select new and pre-owned vehicles that meet their needs, preferences, and budget.
• Provide a professional, personalized sales experience that builds trust and long-term customer loyalty.
• Develop strong relationships with new customers and the dealership’s established customer base.
• Respond promptly to internet and phone leads, schedule appointments, and follow through consistently.
• Conduct vehicle presentations and test drives, clearly explaining features, technology, and benefits.
• Understand customer concerns, address objections professionally, and guide customers toward a purchase decision.
• Work toward established sales and customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity in the CRM.
• Partner with sales management and the finance team to complete transactions and documentation accurately.
• Coordinate vehicle deliveries and explain features, warranties, and related paperwork.
• Maintain contact after the sale to support customer satisfaction, repeat purchases, and referrals.
• Follow dealership policies and applicable New Jersey and federal automotive sales requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive sales experience preferred; Chevrolet dealership sales experience strongly preferred .
• A record of sustained contributions in previous roles and an interest in building a long-term career with our dealership.
• Dependability, a strong work ethic, and consistent follow-through on commitments to customers and teammates.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the drive to meet sales goals and continually improve performance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn customer trust.
• A professional, attentive approach to serving customers who value personalized service and lasting relationships.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and customer follow-up skills.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, computers, and other sales technology.
• Willingness to learn Chevrolet products, dealership processes, and compliance requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the dealership’s insurance and vehicle-use requirements.
• Availability to work Saturdays and other scheduled dealership hours.
