Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A home infusion pharmacy is seeking two skilled pharmacists to fill key roles supporting specialized IV and infusion services for patients with acute and chronic medical needs. This opportunity offers full-time leadership as a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) as well as temporary coverage as a staff pharmacist. Candidates with home infusion and sterile compounding experience are highly valued.

Location: Nearby areas in Texas (Confidential Search)
Positions Needed: 2 Pharmacists — Full-Time PIC and PRN Staff Pharmacist
Schedule:

Temporary coverage: November 16–27, 2026 (Pharmacy closed November 26 for Thanksgiving)
Full-time PIC: Ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, process, and verify physician medication orders with accuracy
Perform and/or oversee sterile compounding and cleanroom operations following USP standards
Ensure safe dispensing of infusion medications and supplies while maintaining compliance with federal and state laws
Maintain precise patient and pharmacy records supporting quality assurance and regulatory audits
Collaborate with healthcare teams including nurses and physicians to optimize patient care
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure smooth workflow
For the PIC role, provide leadership and full oversight of pharmacy operations, compliance management, and staff supervision

Qualifications:

Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing
Minimum of 1+ year pharmacist experience, with preference for home infusion and sterile compounding background
Strong knowledge of USP sterile compounding standards and Texas pharmacy regulations
Effective communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to lead pharmacy teams and manage operations for the PIC position
Previous PIC or supervisory experience preferred for leadership role

The ideal candidate may fulfill both roles by covering November temporary staffing and transitioning into the full-time PIC position, blending clinical expertise with operational leadership.
