Business Systems Analyst (On Site)

The Business Systems Analyst serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that organizational systems effectively support business operations. This role analyzes business needs, identifies system improvements, and translates requirements into functional specifications that drive technology solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate processes, gather and document requirements, and support the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements. This position plays a key role in optimizing system performance, improving efficiency, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making. Leverages AI‑driven insights, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics to support data‑informed decision‑making across the organization. Successful candidates will have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of business processes and information systems. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high‑quality outcomes. Position is On Site (Omaha, NE). Responsibilities Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Liaises between end‑users, vendors, and Information Technology personnel. Consults with department managers and staff to determine operational objectives by understanding business functions; gathers information and evaluates output requirements to promote operating efficiency. Communicates and understands technical information related to existing and upcoming systems. Develops supporting documentation for outlining requirements, business use cases, risks, recommendations, system design, and testing plans. Monitors system and business operations, anticipates future needs, and plans accordingly to meet those needs and document costs. Coordinates implementation of new systems; confers with appropriate managers and staff to resolve issues. Provides training and support to end‑users. Provides reports for departmental data requests. Champions policy creation or revision. Recommends and facilitates new workflows, forms, or processes to increase performance or streamline a manual process. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in Data Analytics, including analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, developing insights, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and tools, including practical application of machine learning‑enabled features within business systems, workflow automation, and process optimization; understands business issues and data challenges. Strong knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft products. Knowledge of software or web development and web browsers. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality. High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills. Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi‑task while maintaining quality standards. Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations. Ability to continually increase technical competency of self and others through education and research within the field. Ability to prioritize based on organizational needs and shift priorities on short notice. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 3 years of experience including system analysis, gathering requirements, prioritizing, documenting, and developing plans required. On‑call work to provide additional support and work to be performed outside of traditional business hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays required.
