Assistant Producer

Job Overview Daystar Television Network is looking for an experienced Assistant Producer to work at our Headquarters location in Bedford, Texas. The Assistant Producer will serve as the frontline of our production team, handling teleprompter duties, assisting producers with various tasks in studio and on set, and running errands. Must be a Christian committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Responsibilities Primarily assist in the daily production of quality, original programming for Dr. Douglas Weiss show and additional programs including but not limited to Ministry Now, Joni Table Talk, Heart for the World, and more. Being highly creative Working with a team Planning and organizing Effectively communicating ideas Assist in producing multiple productions such as Joni Table Talk, The Green Room, Heart for the World, and Gospel Music Showcase Support the production’s senior producer as required Assist in program tapings, manage projects from pre- to post-production, and help generate and develop content as needed Contribute to writing copy, drafting emails, and making phone calls as they pertain to assigned projects Be flexible and adaptable in both workflow and schedule Use gifts in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment to effect deep, meaningful change Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must have great computer skills Strong and committed Assistant Producer Knowledgeable in the process of television production Efficient time manager and able to work and successfully complete deadlines Passionate about communicating the gospel to shine the light of Christ across the globe Dedicated follower of Jesus Christ willing to join a ministry with a heart for the world Other duties as assigned Education A minimum of two years’ experience in television broadcast. Associate or Bachelor’s degree highly preferred Minimum of two years’ experience in television broadcast Exemplary related skills (e.g., writing, video/audio editing, camera operation). These skills are a preferred bonus. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit (potentially excessive walking) at a workstation for extended periods of time. Must be able to work shifts assigned.
