About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to join their senior leadership team. This strategic role is focused on driving the company's growth by leading efforts to attract new philanthropic capital and expand its impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase the number of funds, contributions, and direct support for the company. This includes building and nurturing relationships with individuals, families, corporations, and professional advisors, as well as guiding fundholders through charitable giving options. The role also involves leading a comprehensive stewardship program, expanding corporate engagement partnerships, and representing the company in the community. Applicants for the Vice President of Advancement position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in advancement, development, financial advising, estate planning, or a related field, with a proven track record in major gift fundraising and charitable gift planning. The role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with CRM platforms. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a deep commitment to the company's mission and values. Responsibilities also include staff management, mentorship, and team development, as well as collaboration with the President and CEO to engage the Board of Trustees in philanthropic leadership. The position demands a leader with a strategic vision, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to connect donors' values with meaningful opportunities.
